Collective Action. Lasting Impact.
By coming together through anonymous charitable donations, we create a collective impact that strengthens and uplifts our local community.

Our Mission
Giving Together
The Fifty is a unique platform designed to empower anonymous donors to collaborate on charitable contributions. By pooling our resources, members can submit ideas, vote on initiatives, and collectively support causes that resonate with their values. We believe in harnessing the power of community to create a significant, positive impact.

How it Works
Quarterly Submissions
Each quarter, we invite our donors to submit new charitable project ideas that align with our values and make a local impact. We've organized each quarter into categories and request specific background to support idea submissions.

Q1: Health & Human Services - hunger support, physical and mental health support and crisis support

Q2: Education, Teacher & Student Support - organizations that support schools, teachers, students, adult education, school supplies, etc.

Q3: Animals and Environment - animal support organizations, human/support animal partnerships, and environmental protection.

Q4: Public and Societal Benefit - organizations that support first responders, veterans, military organizations, and disaster support.
Quarterly Voting
Members get to vote on the top ideas submitted, shaping the outcomes of our charitable contributions. The charity receiving the most member votes each quarter will receive The Fifty's donation. Voting occurs in our group section via a quarterly poll.
Charities & Local Impact
We nominate and support local charities every quarter, providing them with much-needed resources. Each initiative we support represents the collective effort of our donors making a difference in the world.
Quarterly Donations
Each quarter, fifty people make a $100 donation to a local charity. Partnering with the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF), we created a donor-advised fund (DAF) for The Fifty. A DAF is a commonly used charitable vehicle for family trusts, etc. We've put a "twist" on the concept by creating a multi-family fund that can continue taking and making donations for years.

If you would like to donate more than $100, please feel free to do so! Just let us know so we can instruct the NCCF accordingly. Also, please let us know if you have potential members in mind that may be interested in joining.

The charitable organization that receives our donation will not know who we are. The Fifty will remain anonymous as we want to give without recognition. We want the focus to remain on our impact, not on who gave.

How to Donate
Our partnership with the NCCF makes the steps required for The Fifty to interact with each Member easy. The NCCF has created a QR code for us or you can donate online on their website. If you prefer to donate online via check, NCCF also offers this option. You can donate all four quarters at once or individually each quarter.
